Finding Mold In Your Attic

Let's face it, many of us dread the idea of going to the attic it's dirty, dusty and full of cob webs.

What we forget about is the vast changes in temperatures that an attic may see in the course of just one day let alone years.

Dirt and dust is one of the primary building blocks for mold as they collect moisture from the air more readily and day after day continue to be breeding ground for mold.

If an attic is not properly ventilated then these conditions grow exponentially.

  • Along the sheeting of the roof, along the rafters, and even drywall ceilings if no insulation is present.
  • In worse case scenarios, mold spores can start to grow on stored belongs inside the attic.
  • Air ventilation and water leaks are the biggest reasons for mold growth.
